Celebrating World Environmental Day

From 1974, on 5 June every year is celebrated as World Environmental Day (WED) in every country.  It has been established for raising awareness emerging from environmental issues to marine pollution, global warming, human overpopulation. Each year, it has a new theme that major corporations, NGOs, communities & governments adopt to uphold environmental causes.
In 2020, World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5, Friday. The theme for this year is “Celebrate Biodiversity” & and will be hosted in Colombia in partnership with Germany. Almost ten times, Bangladesh celebrated this day. In 1985, Pakistan celebrated this day for the very first time.

Biodiversity is the variety of life on Earth. It is typically a dimension of variation at the genetic, species, and ecosystem level. Biodiversity is that it supports all life on land and below water. It affects every prospect of human health, providing clean air and water, nutritious foods, scientific understanding, medicine sources & climate change mollification.
Rapid deforestation affects the negative impact on biodiversity. This occurrence involving encroachment on wildlife habitats, intensified agriculture, and acceleration of climate change as well as global warming. If we continue on this path, biodiversity loss will have severe implications for humanity, including departure and the collapse of health systems. The emergence of corona virus simply indicates that, when we destroy biodiversity, we destroy the system that supports human life. This is the implicit message for nature.
