Biotechnology and You

Neuro + Technology = Biotechnology and central nervous system Any person who is active in games or any sport well known the importance of protection of head and neck. In order to do any activity like flip, pedal, or kick he got to send some kind of signals from his brain to his muscles. Special type of cell known as neuron transfer signals from brain to all parts of body. Neurons pass from your head to your body through a structure called your spinal cord. The spinal rope is 1.5 feet long in people and up to 8.5 feet long in animals like giraffes. Central nervous system consist of brain and spinal cord. We have listened of some neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer’s and attention-deficit disorder, epilepsy, maybe Parkinson’s. Others could be a modern to many people, including fibromyalgia, dementia, narcolepsy, memory problems, diabetic neuropathic pain, and anxious legs syndrome. In expansion to diseases that assault the central the anxious framework, injuries can harm the br...

Biotechnological techniques used in cancer diagnosis and treatment

Image
In spite of the immense improvement in cancer diagnosis and therapy, but still cancer is the second most significant cause of demise in the globe. Advancement in medical biotechnology has raised the researcher’s information on molecular events of cancer disease and has created a new faith in the early cancer prognosis and treatment. Changes in the cell’s genome and proteome interrupt the cellular control mechanisms. These molecular faults can be resolute by the help of using appropriate biotechnology techniques (Pahlevani. E., 2017). Are biotechnology techniques helpful for the scientist to fight against cancer disease? Biotechnology has assist researchers to know cancer disease in multiple ways such as genome analysis, cell culture, culturing transgenic cell lines, gene profiling and especially identify novel biomarkers for risk detection and development of cancer. ·        Existing biotechnology techniques help researchers to understand the major ca...

Heterochromia: A Beautiful Eye Mutation

Image
Heterochromia is the mutation in the color of the eye, hair, or skin. When it comes to the variation in the color of eye or iris it is referred to as Heterochromia iridis. Basically, it is the benign type of eye mutation and it remains throughout life without causing any pathogenicity in the eye.   People who have heterochromia iridis looks very beautiful and attractive due to different eye color. In most cases, there are two colors observed in heterochromia iridis i.e. one eye color is blue and the other eye has a brown color. This mutation is rare in human i.e. almost two lac people in the United States have heterochromia iridis which is not related to any disease while it is most common in animal breeds like horses, cats and dogs. If this mutation is causing changes in other parts of the body like change in hair or skin color then it is associated with diseases or develops after the birth of the baby. How Heterochromia develops? Heterochromia develops due to the abnorm...
