Survey on breast cancer symptoms and awareness in women

Introduction

Breast cancer is becoming more common worldwide and in Pakistan. Breast cancer awareness among women is crucial to its early detection, improved care, and prevention. Considering this, a cross-sectional study was conducted to gauge female university students' knowledge of breast cancer risk factors, symptoms, and breast examination. Breast cancer is a condition in which the breast tissue begins to grow uncontrollably and develops into a mass of undifferentiated cells. Breast cancer is the second largest cause of death worldwide and the incidence of the disease is rising. Early diagnosis of the condition is greatly aided by public awareness about it. The public is better able to avoid the risk factors for the disease because of this awareness. The women's adherence to the recommended screening schedules can benefit from increased awareness of the condition. This compliance will encourage early detection of breast cancer in the population, assisting medical professionals in better management and raising patient monitoring rates. The most popular screening methods are mammography, clinical breast examination, and breast self-examination (BSE) [11]. BSE is a screening procedure that can be used to find breast cancer early. This is a simple, affordable, easy-to-follow, and effective method for checking breast tissue for physical or visible abnormalities.

 

 

Objective  of the survey

ü  To identify the level of awareness regarding breast cancer in  the common populace of  Pakistan

ü  To spread the awareness of breast cancer in women

ü  To understand the prevalence of breast cancer

ü  To opens the door to finding better ways to prevent, detect, and treat breast cancer

 

Aim of the survey

 Breast cancer is increasing day by day in Pakistan Awareness about the disease play important role in its early diagnosis .awareness helps the population to avoid risk factor associated with the breast cancer and explain the importance of  early detection  of breast cancer and increase knowledge of available diagnostics screening method that promote earlier detection aim of the survey is to save lives improve life quality try to elevate the ratio of awareness  in Pakistan’s and  women  share effective methods to examine your self.
